The Well at Aster Park

By day, the tech district looked like a glossy brochure. By night, it felt like a machine that had forgotten to shut down. Aster Park sat on the edge of the district, ringed by glass towers, model apartments, and startup headquarters that were still half-empty. Two blocks down, the lights got sparse and the pavement got rough. When Ethan climbed down from the parking garage roof, he saw a black sedan roll into the underground entrance. The windows were mirrored. Even the plates looked temporary. "You're really doing this?" Jaden asked in his ear. "I checked the place. It used to be a cloud cooling well. Then the foundation supposedly collapsed, two workers died, and the whole site got sealed." "Sealed doesn't mean empty."
