She had taken the moral ground with truth. “We received intelligence that the Red Legion will attack Frostbridge in seven days,” she continued. “We are defending our land.” “Whose intelligence?” “A source I cannot expose.” Lain slid a paper onto the table. “I received one too.” It claimed the Frost Legion would burn Frostbridge in seven days and blame the Red faction. A thread of Mordred’s silver wax marked the bottom. “A forgery,” Mordred said. “Perhaps. But two reports bring two armies to the same bridge on the same day, with opposite accusations. Once both arrive, will it matter who looses the first arrow?”
