Chapter One: After the Final Buzzer
” She picked up her jacket. “Choose.”
At the end of the corridor, assistant coach Cheng Yanqiu stood in the shadows with a laptop in her arms. She had heard everything.
After Sun left, she approached. “Where did you learn about workload ratios?”
“I read.”
“Then you know a number without sufficient samples proves nothing.”
Xinglan studied her. The email five years too late had come from Cheng Yanqiu. By then, Yanqiu had left basketball. Her message contained one sentence: I am sorry I did not have the courage then.
“That's why I also want raw training data, landing videos, and strength asymmetry.” Xinglan said, “Coach Cheng, you have an unaltered copy on that computer, don't you?”
Yanqiu tightened her grip on the laptop.
