In the tunnel, Mara checked his monitoring band. No new deficit.
“You won without paying.”
“No.” Lin looked up toward a luxury box. A silver-haired man stood behind the glass, reading the unsigned contract. “The lender just learned I won't borrow on command.”
The man raised his head and met Lin's gaze across the stadium.
Mara went pale. “Victor Shaw,” she whispered. “The man who really owns the Storm.”
