Breaking the first giant

Two peasants were left nearly dead. One tower was a breath away from falling. His Town Portal was already glowing under his finger. But Nathan did not panic. He waited until the enemy hero stepped too far forward, Staffed out the dying core unit, then hit the Town Portal and forced the entire army back to the main base edge. When the portal landed, the repair cycle restarted, tower fire reignited, and the Gold Mine survived. The first real gasp from the crowd came right there. After that, Nathan turned the game around. He pressed the pace into the opponent's healing windows, used Hero Level and economy advantage to take control of the map, and slowly strangled the Orc out of options. Icarus Thorn never found a second opening.
