Chapter Three: The Open Eight-Tenths
“Pack the paint,” Zhou said.
“No.” Su signaled their triangle. “Run the offense. We need points to regain possession.”
“We need a stop first.”
“You're deciding alone again.”
The Hounds attacked. Zhou lunged at the ball, which sailed overhead. But Han did not slide. He planted outside the restricted area. The forward hit him like a truck hitting concrete. Han grunted, his feet held, and the ball came loose.
Su cleared it. “Triangle!”
Han limped to the elbow. Zhou used the screen; the Hounds switched. Han turned half a step early and sealed Su's pursuer. The corner opened. Su shot, wobbling slightly. The ball struck the back rim.
Han did not jump. He boxed out two men, and Zhou flew in from the side for the tip.
Five-one.
