Su Lan went pale.
The call used her personal key.
“I was suspended three months ago. It should have been revoked.”
“It was never revoked,” Han said. “You were not suspended. You were released as bait.”
The child-experiment files she had seen, her timely arrival at Lucent’s conference, even the evidence card Han could force open—each was part of a prepared route.
Su Lan lowered her pistol. “Which things I know are true?”
“Impossible to determine,” Zero answered. “True and false records share the same signatures.”
