Chapter Five: Langley Shakes
Ethan pulled Price to his feet. "You have three minutes to decide whether to trust me."
Price looked at the black convoy coming down the garage ramp, then at the red light on Sophia's recorder. He finally nodded.
"I'll testify."
Ethan shoved him into the back seat. "Good."
Sophia punched the accelerator, tires screaming as the sedan tore from the space. Rounds chased the trunk and shattered overhead lights. Sparks fell like rain. Ethan leaned out the rear window and fired twice, blowing the lead vehicle's front tire. The convoy folded into itself at the ramp.
Ten minutes later, Langley received the report: Daniel Price missing, two cleanup assets dead, Ghost traveling with Sophia Laurent.
Caleb Rourke read it for a long time.
Then he smiled.
