So Mara's information was false. Four failures had never been the limit. Grant planned to allow three. Kai removed his helmet. “Broken?” Marcus called. Kai closed his eyes and recalled the data. Tyler had just made an interception and was seventy-four percent likely to press short on the next snap. Knox aligned right. The end had cut inside twice. Knowledge built the skeleton. Secrets only filled the gaps. He put the helmet back on and assigned each voice a place instead of letting it become a flood. “Green eighty! Falcon!” He motioned Eli right. Tyler stepped up, thinking, *Don't let him outside. I can't match the second break.* Kai did not use Eli's fear of being cut. He used the fear an opponent had confessed to himself.
