Leon stepped out of the shuttle. He heard the voices from the stands. "That's the one from the frontier mining world?" "His file says his original sync rate was twenty-three percent." "What kind of joke is this? Twenty-three percent can enter Main?" "I heard he brought an unknown frame." At the far end of the arena, a red and white training mech stopped moving. Inside its cockpit, Rafe Calder looked at Leon on the screen and smiled. "Twenty-three percent?" He opened the public channel, and his voice rolled through the dome. "New transfer. Starsea Main does not accept legends. It accepts strength. Do you dare enter the arena now?" The stands exploded. Harren frowned. "Ignore him. It is a provocation." Leon stopped walking.
