Coach David Miller took the footage and made them face it. The first week was brutal for Mason. In his old team, he had been allowed to create. If he found a kill, the round often turned into his personal lane. Here, Jackson asked him questions before every map and expected answers. Did they have mid control. Who was trading who. What utility had to be burned before the final hit. Why were they defaulting. Why was this lurk valuable. Why was this fake worth the ammo and time it cost. Mason hated how much he hated those questions. He knew he could outshoot almost anybody. He knew that. What he didn’t know, not really, was how to slow down without feeling like he was giving the map away.
