Applause came from the door. Zhou leaned against the frame. “People sleep, you get songs, Mianmian survives. Three winners are rare in any bargain.”
“What about the forgetting?” Wanzhao asked.
“Living requires forgetting.”
Xinghe swung at him, but Mianmian stepped between them. Its body was surprisingly light. It fell against a case, cracking the mascot head.
