Before he could understand the last line, a nurse cried out in the ward. Lin rushed inside. His mother was safe. The nurse was pointing at the television. The anonymous researcher who had released Haiyue's appendix had been killed by a car. The accident time was 11:59 p.m. Before Lin placed his trade. The news said the researcher died instantly, yet the document had been uploaded from his own account at 12:21. Lin returned to the computer. Beside Haiyue's future price, two red words had appeared. [PAID FOR.] Then Tianheng Technology's 48.70 changed to 29.30. An email with no sender arrived at the same instant. “Congratulations, Mr. Lin. You are the seventh person tonight to see tomorrow. The first six did not live to see the opening bell.”
