Jibai laughed coldly but did not release him. “Three hundred thousand doesn't buy that assessment.” “Hence your million-yuan amendment.” Metal struck metal outside. Someone was forcing the door. Yanci killed the light and caught Jibai's wrist. As they moved through the exhibits, he whispered, “Did you bring the parking token?” “No.” “You're lying.” “We have that in common, Mr. Yan.” They stopped at an iron door marked DEEP-SEA TUNNEL. Yanci reached toward Jibai's inner raincoat pocket. Jibai trapped his wrist. “Searching me?” “Trying to survive.” The prying noise stopped. Glass exploded. Yanci drove him to the floor as a bullet grazed a sign and buried itself in a whale skeleton. Glass rained down.
