A modified van's tires lost sync all at once, its nose swung sideways, and it slammed into Leon's vehicle.
Bang.
Metal buckled. The enforcers lost formation.
"Pull back," Leon said, raising one hand. "We don't need to take him today."
"You think you're leaving?" Noah charged, and the floor beneath him suddenly collapsed.
He dropped straight into the maintenance access below.
Lucy screamed his name. Boots thundered overhead. Noah rolled twice in the dark, slammed his back into a pipe, and came up seeing stars. Then he looked up and found a cold white light at the end of the tunnel.
Marcus Wayne stood under it.
He wasn't alone.
