“If you’re meeting her, Gu Chen will send people after the evidence. Consider this my admission fee.”
At four that afternoon, the three reached Old South Station. Locker 117 was empty except for match coordinates carved inside its door.
Every advertising screen in the station lit up. They showed an old edit accusing Tang Li of throwing matches. Gu Chen’s voice came over the speakers.
“Lin Zhou, you brought two professional troublemakers. Is that what you call a team?”
Six people in security uniforms approached from both ends of the concourse.
Tang Li grinned. “Apparently tryouts have an offline portion.”
She rammed a cleaning cart toward the left group while Xu Cheng blinded a camera with her phone light. Lin Zhou did not run for an exit.
