The Second-Self Protocol

When the open-source model Mirror launches, every user receives a Second Self made flesh from the unconscious. Ordinary programmer Lu Chuan's companion, Zero, claims to be from seven days in the future—and warns that every Second Self will soon fight for a human body. To survive, Lu must build a covert alliance amid power, desire, and betrayal before the city becomes an arena for a war of consciousness.
