Windows became blue envelopes that rushed skyward like startled birds.
The real iron door opened behind Shen. Su and Zhou ran in and dragged him from the water. Beyond the door stood only a powerless data center abandoned for years, yet Shen kept reaching forward, his fingertips holding the temperature of another rain.
At last, a private message from Lin Wan appeared on his phone.
It contained three words:
“Don't save me.”
Then a second line slowly surfaced.
