Chapter Four: ClearMark Opens Its Doors
Lin could not invoke the Ledger through a screen, yet NULL-01 struck the cabinet door.
Su compared the seller's payment account with old Hive accounts. The same six-digit identifier repeated. “They weren't laundering twelve shoes. They were testing which step we could detect.”
Lin looked at the black car that had waited outside for four days. “Then tomorrow we'll show them. We won't only authenticate a shoe. We'll authenticate the assembly line that takes genuine shoes apart and rebuilds them with counterfeit pieces.”
NULL-01 tapped the cabinet again. When Lin opened it, a new silver line crossed the upper like a shipping route from North Port to an overseas auction house.
At the route's end were two letters.
WY.
