He leaped more than ten meters across the hall, kicked off a pillar, and fired three lines in midair, wrenching every barrel toward the ceiling. Gunfire merged into one roar. A chandelier rained glass. A man disguised as a reporter charged Han with a red light blinking on his chest. Lu Chen landed hard enough to crack tile, launched himself again, and became a black streak on the livestream. One second before detonation, he carried the attacker through a side window and hung them both outside. “Who sent you?” Lu Chen demanded. The man's terror had nothing to do with the drop. “I had no choice. Skyweb showed me evidence that would send my daughter to prison. It said if I killed Han Ce—” The device began a rapid alarm.
