He undid the change. This time he masked the entire clause stating that he owed ¥487,600 and replaced it with ALL FUNDS PAID IN FULL. He copied the seal texture, added a settlement date, corrected the paper fibers, ink bleed, and scanner noise. Even at eight hundred percent magnification, no one could have found the edit.
