Chapter Two: The Four-Million Blind Spot
When Seabridge United's announcement video for Luca Bello passed twenty million views, Lin Mo was removing dust from scouting reports written in 1998.
In the video, Bello stood beside the bridge while fireworks formed the number seven. Viktor Salin called him “the flag-bearer of a new attacking age.” In the basement, water dripped from an air conditioner onto a box labeled NORDIC REGION.
Lin's work had no romance. He clipped a hundred and twenty touches each day, separated “receiving under pressure” from merely receiving near an opponent, corrected misspelled names, and uploaded reports no one read.
But the archive contained the cheapest and most honest memory in the club.
On his sixth day, he found Noah Vidal's report from age seventeen.
