Gu Yan lunged for the mouse. A warning appeared: **CURRENT OBJECT DOES NOT HAVE EDITING PERMISSION.** Bai Mi walked barefoot toward the elevators. Motion lights woke before her and died behind her. Just before the doors opened, she glanced back at the lower-right corner of the monitor. Beyond the bleed line, the open circle glowed faintly red. For the first time, her smile vanished. “So you did leave one stroke behind.” The elevator closed. Gu Yan ran after her, but the access gate sounded a red refusal. Its screen read: PERSON NOT FOUND.
