Xu Zhi arrived ten minutes before the meeting. She wore short hair, a gray coat, and a Haizhou Finance press badge. She placed unsweetened coffee before Zhou Lin.
“There was a fight at an illegal game last night. The footage shows you making Zhao Biao lower his knife. How?”
“Personal charm.”
“The Zhou family announced that you were expelled for stealing commercial files. Your charm's market value is falling fast.”
Zhou Lin glanced at her recorder. “How long have you tracked Haiyue?”
She answered by sliding him a chart. In three years Haiyue had issued bridge loans to forty-seven small firms. Twelve had already been acquired cheaply.
