Chapter Three: Gatekeepers in the City
A city map appeared. A red point pulsed forty-eight meters beneath Lujiazui—inside the main server level of the Global Earth Observation Center.
"Another invitation into a trap," Su said.
"This time we know what is in the trap."
They returned to the center at eleven that night.
Lin used the wing bone to pull locking counterweights sideways, bypassing electronic authentication. Su forged a cooling-system fault and evacuated the basement staff. At level minus six, they found a door behind the server arrays.
It was identical to the door beneath the weather tower.
Chen Du stood before it.
"Swift contacted you," he said. It was not a question.
Lin stopped twelve meters away. "You knew my father."
