Chapter Two: The Practice Room in the Low Tide

That night, in the final scrim, Caleb picked Puck. The enemy had targeted his old explosive comfort heroes in draft, hoping that would shrink him. Instead of forcing solo kills, he let the game breathe. He sent out the Orb to probe the river, used a Sentry to deward a key area, and forced the enemy support to show his hand. Then he set up a clean Smoke Gank through the enemy jungle, cut off the core, and secured Roshan. Aegis went to Nick. Caleb did not claim the credit. He just watched the enemy high ground get forced to Glyph, then slowly moved the Creep Wave into tower range. After the scrim, Jordan removed his headset and said, “That turn was real.” Caleb didn’t answer. He just looked out at the dark beyond the glass.
