Chapter Four: The Reality Where He Died
The city vanished. The soundstage went dark, but line prediction still burned in his vision. The blue sight lines of twelve cameras formed a net. Only the narrow space between the two Su Wans remained unexplained.
He started the car and reversed across kilometer zero.
“You intend to take both?” Shen Mo called.
“I won't choose for you.”
Both women jumped in. The slate struck the ground. White light began erasing the black-clad Su Wan from the waist upward. Her other self embraced her. Their bodies merged, separated, then merged again like misaligned frames.
The road transformed into a mountain pass under violent rain. A command appeared on the windshield: BLIND RUN THROUGH SEVEN BLASTS. COMPLETE A PENDULUM DRIFT. ONLY ONE PASSENGER MAY REMAIN.
