Gu turned the camera. Luo was commanding the line. Vaughan practiced landings on mats. A-He repeated, “Lighthouse, tide line, come home.”
“Every one of them is worth more today than yesterday.”
At 11:57 p.m., the league portal blocked their submission. Lanhaven's debt license glowed red. Su called every official she knew; no one answered. Gu noticed the system cited an obsolete regulation. Under the current rule, a league could not deny temporary permission when players had granted a written extension on unpaid wages.
They needed the captain's signature. The old captain had filed for arbitration.
“Can the new captain sign?” Luo picked up a pen.
“His appointment hasn't been submitted,” said the accountant.
