Soon she could no longer remember why she stood in the street. She pressed PLAY on the cassette recorder. Gu Linchuan's voice burst from its cheap speaker. "In your second life, I will find you first." Her memories snapped back. Shen Wu turned and ran toward Shaft Seven. No footsteps followed, only the measured chant of the crowd: "Shen Zhao. Shen Zhao.
