Now she felt it borrowing her lungs.
At the end, a woman in white cornered the girl in a darkroom. She never faced the camera. Wet hair hung down her back like a crack in the image. The girl raised a match.
“If the house remembers us,” she asked, “is outside still real?”
The match died. Cut to black.
