Another life struck him—three frightened minutes since the girl had lost her mother in the crowd. He gained no teleportation, only her instinct for weakness in space. A second dial appeared. Windspine, 08:41. Rift Sense, 09:59. The car would fall into the fissure and be shredded. Yet on the invisible map in Lin's mind, there was another route. He stopped resisting the fall and concentrated all wind on the left rear corner. “Yue Lan! Three o'clock—push me!” The hero hesitated for half a second, then trusted him. Their currents struck together. The car rolled like a heavy coin and scraped past the spatial tear. The fissure swallowed half the roof; the remaining shell crashed onto the rear track. Airbags exploded. Not one passenger fell.
