Chapter Two: Tenants of the Body
The features appeared one by one, as if the network had finished loading them.
“Mr. Gu?” the guard said sleepily. “Didn't you just come home?”
“When?”
“Ten minutes ago. You were carrying a little girl.”
Gu looked toward the glass doors. In the reflection, a girl stood beside him wearing blue pajamas. The stitches on her right sleeve were crooked.
He spun around. No one was there.
Inside his skull, Little Full sobbed. “Brother, don't let them remember. I have already died once.”
