Gu Ye borrowed the wedding control board and Tang Ke "hacked" the event audio by guessing its password: 888888.
"Temporary audience interaction," Gu Ye announced into hundreds of headphones. "On my count, inhale deeply. The deeper you breathe, the higher your odds of winning."
"That's fraud," Tang Ke said.
"I never specified the prize."
Twenty thousand viewers now watched. Some called the police. Some placed bets. Others calculated the spread of pepper particles. With forty seconds left, the blowers roared. Transparent bubbles carrying fine pepper mist floated over the barrier, a discount galaxy in the projector light.
"Three, two, one—in!"
