While they spoke, Lu found Zhao's file. It held the original parking ledger and seventeen statements from before the rewrite. Every witness had seen a passenger, yet every digital transcript said the driver was alone.
Lu placed the pages on the scanner and connected it to Tang's stream.
Gu smiled. “Every platform is linked to Míror. Viewers will see what they are supposed to see.”
The stream became a city promotion: clean water, white doves, no testimony and no Lu Chen.
Lu closed his eyes. Wen traced three phrases into his palm.
Mint. Red umbrella. Don't forget me.
He understood that reframing did not require him to invent a complete image. An editor's greatest skill was inserting existing material in the wrong place.
