Chapter One: The Falling Bouquet
Three seconds before the chandelier fell, Mira Shen was correcting the angle of the groom’s boutonniere.
“Two millimeters left,” she said.
Theo Tang frowned. “It’s a flower. The guests aren’t carrying rulers.”
“The cameras are.” Mira secured the silver pin, her smile as polished as every champagne glass in the ballroom. “These photographs will remain on your company website for years.”
Her earpiece crackled. “Mira, the main fixture is loose!” Jo cried.
Mira looked up. The crystal chandelier beneath the forty-foot ceiling tilted. Directly below it, the bride, Serena Su, turned her back to the danger and lifted her bouquet.
“Everyone, move!”
