Mira did not ask Iris to cancel. Instead, she projected two hidden appendices to the couple’s prenup during their rehearsal dinner. Marcus planned to seize a pharmaceutical lab using the Lin family’s board votes. The Lins planned to report his bribery after closing and leave him with all liability. The room erupted. “Are you insane?” Marcus charged the stage. “The wedding is false. The contracts are real.” Mira stepped back as a spotlight pinned him in place. “If you enjoy destroying each other, use a boardroom. Three hundred guests need not witness your love.” Iris tore up the marriage agreement before the cameras, then gave Mira the White Tern necklace.
