Lin did not touch the equity offer again.
“Reject it.”
Forty-five million could clear most of Northport's debt. Objections rose through the emergency board meeting like auction bids. Su asked only one question. “Why?”
“They aren't buying shares. They're buying my vote. Anyone afraid to put a name on the offer isn't here to save Northport.”
Director Fisher threw down his pen. “Will ideals pay next month's interest?”
A collection notice arrived that afternoon. Northport had to pay nine million before the winter window closed or lose the training ground to its creditor.
Only one asset could produce that cash immediately: Costaro.
