The System Chose the Wrong Man
Every contaminated batch had passed through a container called temp_patch. Its owner was listed as Lin Mo, though it had been created at 11:40 p.m., when the lobby access system showed him downstairs collecting dinner.
[PROGRESS: 35%. HINT TWO: Names can be forged. Resource quotas cannot.]
The container sat in his namespace but consumed a manager-level emergency quota. Only Zhao Hai and platform director Wei Dong could approve that pool.
With fifty-three minutes left, Zhao called.
“Why haven't you rerun it?” His voice was low. “The conversion list is finalized tomorrow, Lin. Young people need to cooperate.”
“Email me the rerun parameters, Manager Zhao.”
Half a second of silence. “Isn't the chat message clear?”
“I don't want to misunderstand.”
