Chapter Three: The Museum of Harm
The thought frightened him more than pain—except he could not even feel frightened.
“Give it back!” he shouted to A-Man.
“Ten minutes haven't passed. You won't be able to move.”
“Rule Three says return it before closing, not after ten minutes. Give it back now!”
A-Man hurled the bottle at him.
Penetration, fracture, burning, and strangers' grief crashed into his body. His vision blackened, but he threw himself forward before the stone landed and shoved the children clear.
Rock tore open his back. Biting his tongue, he crawled up and reached for the console again.
This time, the three children placed their hands beside his. More figures emerged from the bottles and joined them.
