"Broken Prince sounds like a cheap documentary."
"Don't insult princes. He's a broken substitute at best."
Mason saw the comments in the locker room and simply placed his phone face down on the bench.
The Riverbend locker room was low and damp, with peeling walls and old hot-water pipes that screamed in the ceiling. His teammates celebrated the draw because it kept their playoff hopes barely alive. Someone slapped his shoulder. Someone shouted his name. But all the noise felt as if it were behind glass.
