Black Water at the Port

The crash hit like a hammer. An entire row of shelves folded over, crushing several of the attackers beneath collapsed steel. Ethan yanked the accountant free and dragged two warehouse workers with him on the way out. They were not Ron's people. They were just the kind of laborers cities feed on and never name. Ron saw Ethan save them and actually hesitated, stunned that his enemy had gone out of his way to pull strangers out of the rubble. That hesitation was enough. Ethan shoved Ron through the back doors of the refrigerated truck and slammed them shut, locking the man inside with the failing cold system. Ron pounded the metal from within, shouting through the steel. Ethan pinned the latch, turned, and ran for the exit.
