Chapter Five: Seven Walls

During the break, Zhou stared toward the old locker room. Two years earlier, Chen had said, “We all trust you,” then displayed fabricated audio ten minutes later. “He's waiting for you to isolate,” Su said. “Lose control, and everyone sees the old Zhou.” Han rose. “Then show him Wildfire.” Han set seven consecutive screens. The first freed Su for a long shot. The second forced Carlo to switch, opening a lob inside. On the third, Han touched nobody; Chen merely expected the wall, and Zhou cut the other way. On the fifth, Carlo smashed Han to the floor. Han slid two meters, rose before the referee finished counting, and returned to his spot.
