One screen was still replaying his rescue footage.
"So you're not just watching me," Noah said, voice tight with anger. "You're watching me grow."
One of them went white and tried to bolt.
Noah slammed a hand against the console.
The server racks in the room all snapped into resonance, and the shriek rattled the man so hard his knees gave out and he fell back into his chair.
"Who told you to film me?" Noah asked.
No one answered.
Lucy was already moving. She pulled a paper copy off the desk before anyone could shred it.
"Internal briefing from the Deep Tide Council," she read fast, and her voice changed immediately. "Noah, they're not just tracking you. They're waiting for a cycle."
"What cycle?"
