The number matched to the last yuan.
A profile icon he had never seen lit up in the upper corner. It was a face without features, blurred until nothing human remained.
A message arrived.
“A fine first edit. But why do you only look at what you gained?”
Lin’s knuckles whitened around the mouse. The account had a four-letter name: NULL.
The message vanished. The icon went dark.
