Chapter Three: The Zero Auction
Mingchuan Capital's closed auction had no catalog—only five bidders and five locked phones.
It occupied the forty-seventh floor of Zhou Tower. Executives who once avoided Zhou Lin now stopped to watch him. Haiyue still dominated the news, and a three-hundred-million acquisition had evaporated overnight. The penniless illegitimate son wore a secondhand suit Chen Man had found at a resale market.
Zhou Jiming sat before a window overlooking half of Haizhou.
“Nice suit,” he said. “It suits your current value.”
“At least I paid for it myself.”
Three bidders chuckled. Jiming's eyes chilled, then his smile returned.
The asset was a fifteen-percent preferred income interest in the South City Logistics Park.
