Stored, not erased.
After seventy-two hours, the difference between realities sought the shortest path to settlement. The dead could not die twice, so the survivor’s body completed the injury.
“Yao didn’t suffer a second accident,” Lin said. “She hit that train three days late.”
Zhou stood motionless. Years of ridicule, legal waivers, and his sister’s impossible corpse became true in one line of engineering notation. He copied the archive to three offline drives.
Cheng tried to upload it. At seven percent, the network died. Zenith drones rose outside the windows.
