The report stayed on public servers where anyone could verify it. He possessed no supposedly stolen document.
The men from the cars entered at last.
“Mr. Lin, we suspect you illegally obtained confidential StarArc material.” Their leader displayed his credentials.
Lin tipped the empty memory card onto the counter. “I obtained seven public URLs. If StarArc considers public archives confidential, explain why it put the files there.”
“Come back to the company and explain.”
“My review notice says I am suspended at home. It does not authorize you to detain me.” Lin showed the active call on his phone. “My lawyer suggests you put your request in writing.”
